About the Committee

The seven member Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee (ATAX) is required to advise Town Council on the distribution and expenditure of accommodations tax revenue for municipalities receiving over $50,000 per the South Carolina Code of Laws, Section June 4, 2025(A) known as the Accommodations Tax Act. The majority of members must represent the hospitality industry, including two from the lodging industry and at least one from a Cultural Organization. Accommodations Tax Grant Applications requesting funds are due by the last day of each quarter.
