History
In December 2013, a member of the Bluffton community made a donation to the Bluffton Police Department. The donation was made anonymously and was meant for officers to purchase less fortunate children Christmas presents. Following the donation, an annual toy drive was established the following year in 2014.
Today
The Bluffton Police Department collects hundreds of toys each year during its "Town of Bluffton Toy Drive". Officers distribute the toys to local Bluffton families who are experiencing financial challenges. Residents donate toys for children from infants to 15 years old. Each year, the Bluffton community is extremely generous in its donations.
Donations
Toy donations are accepted each holiday season at the Bluffton Police Department, Town Hall, as well as other designated locations. The community is welcome to donate toys or money. For monetary donations, checks must be made out to the Bluffton Police Department with "Toy Drive" noted in the memo/for section of the check.
